This is where I am not sure what to do. Really where do I mount the esc? In front of the battery or in the rear behind the battery between the motor and battery.
On the standard chassis I had the esc mounted between the motor and battery running 17.5 and was not that happy with the cars overall performance.

Feedback appreciated.
In my experience the farther back I've mounted it the better the car felt. So I say all the way back with electronics in front of the battery.

Sorry it took me this long, but here's the pic of the sideways battery placement I did. I just cut out the side plastic and used heavy Velcro on the bottom of the battery to hold it in place.

Well you have an RB6 so you know how the battery is held in place. The RT6 has a piece of plastic that looks like a door stop almost. This bolts to the chassis and allows you to slide the battery up against it. Since it sits in front of the motor it prevents the battery from coming in contact with it.

Tebo said he ran it with some minor tweaks for him. Look on JTPrc.com. He should have is setup posted in a few days after he gets home. You can also comment on his site and he is real nice about answering questions on there.

As of right now I know they went back to stock rear arms for that set up.

Wanted to share another option for those staying with the stock equipment. My new 17.5 layout uses the stock chassis and also moves the shorty back 10mm toward the motor (compared to Tebo's OCRC setup). Uses stock holes & hardware with no jerry-rigging. Race tested yesterday with good results.
