skrichter, that very well could be. I have seen people add weights to the battery itself to try and mimic the saddle pack and one guy I talked to said it worked pretty good but he was still going to get a saddle pack.

So it would seem the new normal among the pros is having the battery in the back and ESC in the front. Xfactory, Losi, AE, whatever Tessmann made, has Lipo on the back. Will this be the way to go with Kyosho?

Ok scratch that, just seen pictures of Tebo's buggy and he has his ESC back and battery in the middle.

James
I'm surprised to see the stock rear arms! Is Kyle running the new chassis yet?

I believe he has it. I had the flat arms and may change back, but I drove better with the gull wings the last time I ran it. I wanted to start as close to box stock and go from there.

Is this a new 'ESC tray' part, for more clearance for the fan?

I LOVED low profile servo with rx/tp on top of it, then shorty, then esc on super high bite such as the worlds track. I was keeping up with folks normally way above me (like those practicing for worlds).

With the looser track I'm on now, I run low profile servo, rx/tp behind it, open space, esc, shorty sideways. This has put a lot more grip into the rear so I don't just wash out and can put a little down coming out of corners too. The car is all kinds of beat up, but I'll try to get a picture of the layout so it makes sense.

Note: both with mid motor
