They actually revised the part and the new part number has a "b" at the end of it, KYOUM720B. I believe they discontinued the old one as it was bending but there maybe some still out there that are available to purchase.

You can tell if you have the new one as it has a mark on the top of it whereas the original piece does not.

Are there any aluminum or steel pivot balls for the shock mounts available? I find it pretty disappointing the amount of slop in the shock mount bushings. I thought this was Kyosho?

There is noticeable play when you lift the kit from the wheels and place it back down on the top and bottom of the shocks. I have been able to find threaded bushings for the upper links that connect to the shock tower, but nothing for the lower plastic shock arms.

Any reviews on the mip puck kit for the rb6? Wanna pimp mine out for 17.5 and this looks like a great kit.

I almost always do. Red AKA foams. Outdoor, I've played with open cell foams some. Indoor, 99% closed cells for me.

You need to run the red AKA closed cell foams in a little for them to be at optimal operating condition. They really come in after about 5 or 6 run cycles. The first few runs on the new foams feel like the tire is not "in" the track, but after you break them in, they are money. They are the best foams on the market. Just stick with them until they get good.

I updated my previous set. Just noticed I had reversed the steering rack.

Kevin what's the difference with the 97050 ball studs in the rear vs the stock ones?

just purchased an used RB6. compared to my dex210 (which is newer), the RB6 has a fair amount of slop. i notice slop at the knuckle/hub carrier, suspension arm hinge, and steering rack.

what amount of slop, if any, is present in a newly built kit? right now, i'm planning on replacing the entire front end (plus pins). but wondering i should start with the steering rack and knuckle/hub carrier first.

I've built a few new RB6's recently and the slop when new is the same as my car which is over a year old. I wouldn't worry at all.
