I have broken like 3 or 4 rear motor wing mounts. Finally there is a option for this:

I struggled with consistency with the 22. Since getting a RB6 my results and speed has been much more consistent and thus I have more confidence on race days.

Also over the past 5 mo I've spent less on parts and upkeep with the RB6, it's really been right at break-even vs the previous 5 mo.

Best of luck with the new kit. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Don't these solid mounts crack your wing a lot easier?

For $36 I don't need them and have never broken a stock mount either.

I had those on my B4.2 and never had any breaking issues. They can make your mounting holes wear quicker. Just slap an o-ring between the wing and mount and it's all good.

this for rear motor guys right? I will run a mid motor 17.5 this weekend and see how I like it. Thus far it bugs my ocd that the sideway shorty lipo is about 2-3 mm off the center of the chassis. The weight balance is around 30 40 grams to the rear comapred to inline shorty mid motor though.

Bummer they made this with a bump and body clip, instead of an M3 hole to use a scew to mount the wing. Would of been a home run.

yeah I agree. I did the BK mod on my old AE plastic ones and it was awesome.

The thing I noticed is the rb6 wing mounts have a ton of flex on them, so if you are on your lid a lot or if your car gets put in an awkward position on the ride to and from the track, they bend. That alone is the reason I'll get the JC ones next month.

Big deal break out the sander and a drill and m3 tap and should be golden. Seems to have enough meat in there to hold a decent m3 screw.

I was the same with my 22, not saying it is all the cars fault as the 22 is still a very very good car but I am hoping the RB6 does the same for me as it has for you.

Call me silly though I haven't even raced my rear mount RB6 (weather, work etc has not allowed me) and I purchased a second one for mid mount for indoor carpet racing
*note to self start building mid mount RB6
