Guys I just to wish say kudos to the bloke (lass?) who recommended Champ RC Adviser for K parts, especially if you're in the Asia Pacific region and have trouble getting them. I've ordered several times and shipping is like 2 business days. Prices are lower then that printed on the K label!

http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/Champ_Inte...onal_index.htm

They also supply other Japanese brands.

Cheers!

Made a lot of progress yesterday at the Memorial Day Clash. Turnout was light, but I ended up getting a 5th and a 4th in the double A's. Good enough for 4th overall.

I was using the Ghea 1.3x4 tapered pistons, 32.5 fr 27.5 rr, pink fr, gold rr for shock package. The car handled the bumps great, was super stable. I still want to try to lock the rear in a bit more so that it's a little more consistent.

I was running the team setup and my rear was pretty locked in if i was running the right tire. But that was with a 10.5, you might be running more motor.

What gearing would you start with for mod class with a 7.5

Stock spur and a 21 or 22 pinion.

Some killer video of our local team driver running some smoking fast laps with his RB6 at Tacoma RC Raceway. I also put together his setup sheet along with close up photos, available here. I got a chance to drive it.. super dialed.

I bet Wild Cherry is faster. Nothing better than a pink b4.x.

Looking at the pics, it seems like most of these rb6's loose the cap for the gear cover. FYI the tlr22 rubber cap fits great and wont fall off.

My cap is so tight on the RB6 I have no idea how others would fall off. Now my B4, I've lost so many of those caps I glue them on when they're new now. I figure I never adjust the slipper without taking the whole cover off anyway so I might as well just glue it on there.

Finally got one of these together last night and did a couple hot laps up the street. Wow this thing is fast on a 7.5 with no boost. I can't wait to get it on the track this weekend. I didn't think these little cars could be fun but I'm diggin them. Now onto the rb6 that will run stock.

Yeah, I got some tiny pebbles in my newest B4 a couple weekends back and my spur gear wasn't at all happy about it. 2 out of 3 of my B4's had the cap glued on, now 3 outta 3 do. My pinion was a bit scarred up, but still usable. My RB6 is still holding strong unglued. It will likely fall off at some point (usually from getting rear-ended by some over powered out of control SC 4x4 during practice) and I'll regret not gluing it on like the others.

lol, dont glue it. just get the tlr one if it gets lost. I am sure you know someone that replaced the cover and has an extra. I see many of these on the for sale thread with the cap missing. I was told its not very good. I have only ever lost 1 on the b4/t4/sc10. but then I found one at another track a week later, lol.

I tend to "set and forget" the slipper and usually only mess with it when I'm either changing pads or pinions. Because of this, I almost always have the whole cover off anyway. I figured for me the ends justify the means. Since only 10% of the time I don't "need" the cover off because I'm doing other stuff, I just glue the cap on and remove the cover when I need to adjust the slip.

My son at least has been getting rear ended less on the track. I've finally got it through his head that if a truck is coming up behind him, just pull over and let him go by. I lost my cool with him on Friday while practicing for the JConcepts Dirt Invert at 1H. I was changing to a lower turn stator in his T4 and swapping the GTB for a Kinetic and the Kinetic gave up the magic blue smoke so I was borderline annoyed at the time... as this happened, he walked in with a broken a-arm on the truck and said he was forced into a wall by a SC. I stopped what I was doing and told him to switch to his 17.5 buggy. 15 mins later he then comes in with the buggy with a broken a-arm and said the same thing. I then told him to take out the mod car (rb6) because I was tired of replacing AE a-arms. Problem solved. LOL

Yep its way more fun than my ebuggys even! I run gen 2 tekin 7.5 light boost with 21/78, for a long straight on my local track, but has plenty go on the tight stuff as well.
