hey licata i dont know what your doing but this car has been extremely durable for me. i never broke the rack but upgraded it anyway AS a safety measure. the rear hangers i thought broke easily but i also upgraded that , to avoid dnf's

wow! Just broke 3 parts in one tumble here in practice. Broke rear traction going up the face of a large double, which put me into the frontside of the landing. and I cam down at a 45 degree angle right on the front right corner of the car. At first I thought it was just the A-arm... but ended up breaking the suspension holder, inner hingpin, and the arm! yowza.

Not uncommon to break a front pin if you break the holder.

very cool bob! My saturday paint job is in salvage mode sadly wanted white turned out a pale battleship gray haha.

Anyways ran the mid motor for a heat in 17.5 buggy and hated the way it drives. I did not turn slower laps than the rear motor buggy and the thing carrying lots of corner speed (almost close to my xb4 as expected) but was crap in slow 180 type corners where you need to get out of the corner asap.
The rear motors I do a jab of brake flick the wheels and power out but the mid motor of course needs a smoother style and just could not get it to work. The problem would be worse with a mod motor for me at least.

I guess it would work for our indoor track but for outdoors we got around 3 180s so its back to rear motor on both buggies for me. I started with a neutral setup pink fronts white rears. Also it has no lack of rear grip but it just felt lazy.

Bought some Yaiba rb6 bits. Slightly lighter than the K bits - the wide front rear holder is 3.1g, K part is 4.5g.

Front Yaiba is 4.4g, motormount is 16.7g, steering arms are 4.2g (no bearings), plate is 2.4g.

Not sure about the other K part weights. Have Exotek steering atm, will pull that off some time and compare.

Thanks!

Fred Perkins was with me and he swapped his car over to mid motor and was faster. I'm sure once he settles in on his setup he'll post it up here. Was cool to see mid motor working on low bite

I was thinking of trying a mod motor in my RB6. We have a medium/large outdoor hard packed track with some eight scale jumps. Wasn't sure if I should go 8.5 or 10.5. This would be the first time putting anything in besides a 17.5 so any help would be great.
