Local kid that runs for kyosho Collin helped me out with set up and showed me some tips that really helped a lot, still about a second slower lap times then my b4.2 but i cant complain with a second in the main tonight in intermediate stock. I have stock 5 hole pistons and he told me to go down to "tlr 55" pistons so we will try that and see how it goes.
    Collin at West Coast? You should get kyosho blanks and drill them out to 55s they're better. And if the chassis is sticking that badly you can always apply shock oil to the aluminium chassis before each run to reduce friction.

  • I just received my Exotek alum diff nut. It says apply blue threadlock on the diff screw. My question is, how do I tighten/adjust the diff later on if the alum nut is glued to the diff screw? Thanks,

    Use just a dab... It's thread lock not glue you should be fine. Just use a dab!
  • It will stop the nut from vibrating lose. More or less to gunk-up the threads.

    Perfect description. That's why you can let it dry on the screw before installing it.
  • also apply the thread lock directly to the nut not the screw so you dont push it through the diff,, it is cleaner and gets the thread lock where u want it
  • Here is a tip for you guys... NEVER let thread lock get ANYWHERE NEAR, black thrust grease. If they come together, it turns into impregnable cement. Ask me how I know

    haha good to know. why does the exo nut need loctite though? the thing doesnt come with a nyloc end?

    Correct.. no lock nut, just regular nut. I used a tiny dab of blue locktite on mine, and seems to work just as good, if not better, than a lock nut.
  • Also for loctite, I always use this guy http://www.amazon.com/Loctite-37643-...=loctite+stick

    One stick lasted me a whole year of racing finally onto a new one now. Just dip the screw a tiny bit. Never drips. Also cures a lot faster.

    You could try going to narrow rear suspension holders if you haven't already. This will cause other issues though. One being decreased steering.

    Barcodes_v1 also give good side bite. Also a lower rear roll center will give you more traction gain through the corner.

    Are you still using the stock springs? If so try Gold rear...
