Junk in the tranny cover
I was running some laps on a test track here in battle creek Michigan...very loose track, with light gravel and dirt mix...buggy was wonderful...then that alarm sounding noise...a small piece of debris had found its way into the slipper gear housing and several prices of very small stone were impregnated into both...spur and opinion...I'm running an aluminium pinion...I think the garbage got in through the motor bolt hole...is there a gasket or seal to correct this issue...

Installed and ran the AVID slipper clutch last night. Incredibly tunable, super easy to set, great feel, 100% consistent through the entire run. I would say better than the kyosho slipper. A tad pricy, but worth it for me. AND you get get 66, 69, and 72 spurs for you 17.5 drivers.

The very first post for this thread has all the info & specific part numbers for the Alum Rear hangers... It's worth the read if this is your first K car

Thanks turbo....for the input on a fix for the slipper box seal...being both pinion and spur have gone south, and I need to order the spur, might as well upgrade...so a triad shaft and slipper are on the way...maybe not a bad day after all...grin!

I switched to the Kyosho steel pinions, cause the aluminum gall too easily. I think the Kyosho spur/pinion set is the smoothest and quietest of anything I have run. Interesting idea about the Triad slipper, might have to try that one. Not sure, but don't you have to change the output shaft as well with the triad?

^^^ If you want to upgrade to the Avid Triad slipper, you do need to purchase their Kyosho specific top shaft. While the Kyosho stock slipper is really good, the Triad (in my opinion!), an awesome upgrade. The consistency, ability to put the power down w/o wheelspin and spur selection are 2nd to none!

How would people compare the stock slipper Vs the WC vented slipper Vs the avid?

Part Numbers
I am looking for the part numbers for the plastic washer spacers on the four bolts that hold the tranny case to the motor plate. Exploded view shown um508c which is wrong, cause the have the um508c in front of me and there are not on that.
Also the motor centering spacer is also listed as um508c and that is not on it as well. Wanted to put together a emergency complete transmission for the spare parts box.
