Decided not to stay and race last night, as I'm entering the apex of a gnarly head am chest cold now. But I was practicing for a while with the mid. And I can say that I'm changing it back to rear tonight. It seems like it could be fast but it really needs high traction. That is going to require too much sweeping too often for me. It's good on a race night because we're all sweeping every 6 mins.
The rear motor had gobs of traction day or night swept or unswept. And it just feels better for my driving style. I like to hammer on throttle for stock class not baby it.
Both configurations can be fast, I just like the feel of rear right now. Maybe ill change back in the future.

Panther slicks are garbage... they never work as well as a slick made from a clay pinned tire. The "texture" you get from dremeling off the pins really aids in the grip that slicks create. The pre-mades are too slick and don't work.

I have a few sets of Panther slicks that we just glued up to go to Leasure Hour Raceway last weekend. They will work in the morning practice and about halfway thru round 1 of quals, but then you might as well be on skates. Slicks and ghost pins made from clay compound tires were just killing us. We didn't know better at the time, but do now. Pretty much watch what the fast sponsored guys are doing. Also try to find out when or if they will air rate the course between rounds. Changes the track dramatically. I can't make it down there for the Chi-town Shootout, but good luck Frank.

When i run up at Leisure Hours, MC Slicks work the best. I used to think that Losi slicks were good until Jason K. gave me a set of MC's. My car got instantly better.

The castor blocks - 0, 2, 4 ... the 0 would be less steering and 4 would be the most, correct? Sorry, I forgot and couldn't find it on here

There are no issues running B4 slipper pads with kyo plates if I wanted to use a kimbrough spur right?

0 = more steering throughout infield, 4 = more steering in sweeper and other high speed/high roll areas. (its a give and take relationship)
