The savox servos are awful IMO. Noisy, power hungry, and not very smooth. If you want a top quality servo, check out the BLS line from Futaba. I run their lowpro and its money.

And also, My 4500mah fantom shorty lipo is ONE gram heavier than my 3800 losi excelorin shorty I got the day they released them for the 22 (the first shorty, I believe).

you could always get titanium turnbuckles, the avid slipper will lose a few grams and drop rotating mass.

why are you in such a quest for weight loss? my car has almost the same setup as yours so i know i'm not very light, but i keep up with the lightest buggies at my local track and i've come with in .3 of the fastest laps the top guy puts in.. however unless your needing that .3/lap and can already drive 5mins without a mistake, all the weightloss in the world won't make a difference

just my 2c

Kind of new to racing and I was trying to get some opinions of weight. I think I am going to trim the wires and put in some of the Lunsford and call it a day.

Ko Propo ONE LP are awesome servos but pricey. I also like Futaba BLS 451. You get what you pay for in servos.

couldn't agree more. I run same LP futaba servos. Savox I won't run. tried it. No good. I would rather save up more money and have a decent servo for a long time.

Ill try the other servos once my savox breaks. Thus far no issues with my savox servos, running BECs in all bigger cars and for the xb4 and rb6 direct. I might get a better one for the nitro throttle though, the savox seems a bit jerky there. For offroad steering smoothness I don't really care much just my 0.02$... On another note the futaba is not that much more than the comparable brushless savox. Might be a good deal.

I always try to buy if I can afford it, higher torque than what the application needs. I do not like servo saver's and I put on aluminum horn in almost everything I run. I have crashed hard and plenty of times. I have yet to break a top of the line servo (100-150$) from Futaba, Ko Propo and airtronics.

You need to buy a new top gear / main gear for the Avid slipper system to work on the RB-6 - correct? anyone know what the part # is for it?

Guys. Does anyone have GenAce saddles so you can try to put them with the battery holders like:

- The battery holders do a "DC", like if the have their backs turned to eachother.
- The front battery holder is on the furthermost position, so if you have a low profile servo your receiver will need to be laying up.
- The rear battery holder is on the furthermost position too, with your ESC between it and the motor.

This is with mid motor.

I've been using a full size lipo pack, so my ESC was standing on top of the battery holder. But i decided to try a new setup and, since i got the JConcepts body and the cables didn't quite fit inside it with the ESC on top and stuff, this seemed the right time to change!

Just need to know if these GenAce saddles fit in with the setup i mentioned. Hope i was clear enough so you can understand!

Thanks everyone
