If you leave the caps on, it won't fit fully under. Meaning there will be maybe a 7mm gap between the esc and the base of the shock tower. There's no issue really. I ran my VTX10 black cap like this for a couple of months.

What are the part numbers for the alum hinge pin holders that's stock setup for rb6?
No I'm not running mine based off thickness I was told which one to use by a team driver and he referred to it as the beefer one, I installed the smaller one the first time and it did not last the first heat race. The other day I cased a triple broke my rear hinge pin holder and sheered the hinge pin in half along with the right a arm. It's a great car but I have had trouble with broken parts (inner hinge pin, outer houlder, inner holder, front hinge pin brace, & rear arm) I know I'm not the best driver but I've only wrecked it twice, but my track is really beat up right now and is lined with heavy duty schedule 40 3in pipe that does not give, so the car I believe holds up pretty good.

so anyone have a link to some indoor setup sheets that are not mid motor? I like running shortys in my 22, how do they seem to work in this car? Still enough rear traction? I will have my rb6 tomorrow evening and will start the build tomorrow as well. First race will be Jan 5th with the car

thanks for all the help so far. Now Im adding spares to my shopping cart now. However I noticed that there isnt many parts at amain and absolute compared to the rb5 parts listed. Do the rb5 and the 6 share some parts? Such as rear axles, shocks and springs and the tranny gears?

1) don't mount the steering plate upside down
2) remember to chop the corners off the top front bulkhead as shown.

i know some of you guys think of them as a Basher company for Traxxas products, but STRC just rolled out a nice set of hopups for the car. most notably the rear hub combos for $69.99 at the bottom of the page.

so if you can't wait for Exotek and/or don't want to pay premo for the Kyo parts here you go
