I am running single side taper. (what would be the point of a double sided taper?)

the only things i have changed is added Avid system . .05 shim under outer front ball stud . 2 degrees caster insert . moved rear hubs all the way forward , adjusted radio EXP L & R +12 and duel rate down to 60% total steering and still turns on a dime

That was going to be my question. I have never seen them but the way someone was describing them to me it seemed like he was trying to say it was tapered on both sides. His explanation didn't make sense though.

What direction do you run the tapered side?

I run mine since last month taper down so basically faster rebound and more pack in downtravel.

On another note I started using the brakes mid air for nose corrections. What a difference, used to tune it before with drag brakes, now can consistently hit the back side of the slope with all 4 wheels!!! Thanks guys

reds are thicker and I think came with the wc (teflon imho). The whites are cheaper and maybe a different material.

I flipped it all around before my weekend race and had zero issues. Adjusting the diff now requires you go in from the side with a flat head (cant reach the little hole anymore)... but other then that.. it's a good way to get better life out of your swing shaft pins and out drives. Maybe swap them all around every couple weeks when you pull things apart to clean or rebuild.

For all I know, you guys all do this already

Anybody forsee any issues with this? Maybe some braking inconsistency as the contact wear is now on the "braking side" of the pins/outdrives instead of the "throttle side"?
I have done this to all the cars I have owned, especially 1/8. I did have a bad batch of outdrives on one of my Dex210 and the outdirves wore very fast and when I flipped them there was a notable harsher inconsistent feel when braking and made some loud metal clicking sound when carrying a lot of speed down siding jumps or in some of the corners that made it a little notchy feeling getting in and out of throttle.

As far as flipping the diff, it doesn't matter what side the diff nut is on, I have filliped the diff on all my cars with the diff never loosening. If I remember correctly AE and Losi use to always have their diff nut on the opposite side of each other.
