Everything ordered today will ship tomorrow so the mail will probably get it almost everywhere in the US by Friday or Saturday. If you spend over $40 you get a credit towards faster shipping.

For those who have tried the AVID Slipper, what did you notice?

I wrote up some notes a page back (or two at most)... I love it Kevin, the difference is VERY noticeable having tested it blind, back to back with the stock slipper. Lap after lap, the times were faster with the Triad and I have not taken it out since Coach gave it to me almost 3 weeks ago.

Very interesting, did you have the WC slipper or the stock RB6 one?

Was racing with Losi 70t spur & slipper pads with the RB6 kit slipper plate setup.

now that i look at it, its kinda bs we have to pay double what AE/TLR guys do to use the product.. i can't imagine it would cost way more to update the mold to except the Kyosho top shaft..

Run an AE spur gear, and pick up AE's VTS.

Cheaper, and more readily available.

I have both the VTS and an Avid, albeit no in an RB6 (B4, SC10 and B44). They perform the same, but the Avid is considerably more expensive, and harder to source parts for. You're also limited on spur gear selection with the Avid. VTS sits inside the hexagonal recess in the spur, so you can mount it to any AE style spur.

I've found that the multiplate slippers help put the power down smoothly. A traditional slipper transfers power abruptly. It's either slip or grip. The VTS makes the transition smoother, so you can start putting the power down sooner. It helps keep the car from getting too squirrely on rutted up tracks as well.
