Well... had a very successful weekend running 17.5 spec this weekend. Ran all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. Saturday at my home track (brcr) I won both quals for a TQ, and took the win in the A main. Sunday at TRCR, I qualed 4th in the A and finished second. The car is driving and performing extremely well.

On another note, the swing shafts and outdrives seem to be wearing even faster on this car than on the RB5. Anybody know if MIP has their versions done yet for the buggy?

The tracks you run on seemed to be well groomed. Have you tried putting a lite coat of grease on the pins? It doesn't have to be much.

Congrats on your results.

I haven't tried that... but on my home track, it would certainly bring a lot of grit into the outdrive... it is groomed and tacky clay, but we also get a lot of dust and the cars come off dirty. I would worry the grease could actually increase wear... what do you think?

I'm going to order an alloy replacement for the RF2 part. The part that breaks all the time in my case. It's the rear hinge pin holder[front side]. I don't want to order the wrong part since they go for $30 each. Can anyone advise me which to order. I'm goingto order afew things at Amain anyways. Thanks to all

Are they not going to tear through the aluminium caps?

try some bike chain lube that goes on wet and dries and leaves a film of lube. I doubt it would get much build up.

Isn't the actual cap piece that attaches plastic or is that my TC6 I am thinking of.

Is metal to metal advisable?

You probably will have to clean it frequently if you are getting dust on it. I bought a sc from someone and they had the Durango boots on the outdrives. That boot obviously protected the joint from getting dirt in it.

You could try the bike chain lube too.
