Wow. Austin is a great driver and I am sometimes able to see him in action at the track. I have always wondered why they whip the car, but now I know that it is done to help set up for the next corner. This is a very interesting thread and I will subscribe to it!

I find it very useful for setting up turns after a jump. Helps with the weight transfer and increases corner speed. But it does depend on the jump/ turn.
