I like this VRC and all, but why are the trucks able to drive through one another?...I feel that they should be able to hit one another like in real RC racing...Is this a setting choice or just the way it is?

That's a setting - you can turn collisions on and off when you setup a multiplayer session and when you race against a ghost car.

I was wondering the same thing. I can never find an online match with collissions on. Considering learning how to pass cleanly is an important skill, it is very disappointing.

we race every Wednesday night, Normally with collision's On. Brian Townsend is normally the Host. Look us up on a Wed and join in the fun.

nice race
I think they put collision off because of the number of racers and the size of the track
it would not be a fun race if all they did was hit a slower racer

Every main I've been in has about 10 cars/trucks...and yes there is limited space on the track. You have to deal with it.

I'm sorry that's just stupid. I watched for 2 min and saw at least 4 instances where 2 trucks went through corners on the same line and became one truck. There is a point around 1:15 where 3 trucks occupy the same space. That isn't real and certainly doesn't help you learn to race or help you practice your racing which I thought was the point.

the problem is the computer is 2 dimensional, it does not have depth hence it is more difficult to drive without depth perception, which we have when we race for real
your brain has to process what it is seeing and process it to become 3 dimensional
if you have 10 cars in this small space hitting each other because the physics is good but still not 100% real and you only have 2 dimension perception it will be a carnage fest hence will not be fun

If I run it, collisions would be ON...I remember running my RealRace G2, and always had the collisions ON, hackfest or not, it seems more realistic that way....you can't run through other racers at the real track, you shouldn't be able to do it here either....everyone is just running against the other racer's ghost car in these big races (you and 9 ghost cars)....not cool in my book.

The video of the Tekin Finals was all 10 racers individual runs put together to look like a race. They did not actually "race" together.
