Default LRP SXX TC-spec V2 esc

So I'm thinking of ordering this esc but I was hoping to get some feedback from other lrp users. I have a mmp with a 4.5 reedy sonic motor and I love it but I wanted to try out this esc. Has anyone else traded up another esc for this one? How did you like it? Any info is appreciated. Oh and sorry if this has already been covered. I didn't see a lrp thread.

I have two of them...No problems yet...my only complaint would be the instantaneous battery shutdown...sux for bashing...my experience is minut compared to most on here... but if that is what the Team drivers are using they couldn't be all that bad!!!

that is almost true but ronald volker (yokomo/lrp factory driver) went through 4 of them during the ets while qualifying leaving him out of the race and battery shutdown during racing is just not ok at all, im not talking bad about lrp but there latest line of sxx esc's i have heard a lot of bad about them shutting down, it is a problem they are working on though

I've got the sxx tc spec v.1 and it is awesome, got it used and wish I had 2 of them. My 9 y/0 novice driver has beat it half to death and it has been bullet proof after 6 months, every weekend racing.

i use to be a die hard lrp guy! whwn i was doing this process the guy kept telling the shop manager to keep swapping esc's funny thing is that he wouldnt gibe me any other version of lrp left me hung out to dry! so needless to say it was a blessing in disguise because now i have 3 orion r10 pro speedos and are WAY smoother than lep could ever be!!

Is it true that Orion makes the hobby wing esc's? I'm told that the cheap 120 amp hobbywing is the badass Orion esc with a different name on it. But I just find that hard to believe. Lol

So I shouldn't spend the money on an Orion??? Just buy the hobby wing and I'll be good to go? That's awesome! Lol
