I love LRP speed controls. Easiest to adjust. And the 3.0 software makes them so smooth, and motors temps are great. LRP speedos have the smoothest application of boost I've ever encountered.

I did have one blow a BEC but AE replaced it with immediate turnaround.

That being said, any high end ESC will perform better than the MMP. MMP ESCs have a fairly low current rating, and even in 4s applications they can be a major bottleneck.

Havoc Pro SC is a great boosted ESC for 4x4 too, and its a lot more affordable than most boost ESCs

Right now LRP is not giving out one SXX in Germany. There is some fault in the series that has to be cured. I think they change the boards when the sxx upgrade kits arrive in may.

The Orion R10 is the Hobbywing with different programming inside.

If you want full control of your timing then buy the Tekin RS or RS Pro. The lrp lets your control the timing but mainly with presets

I have a sxx Tc V2 in my durango 4wd offroad.
I had some problems with the esc thermalling, well the yellow warning light and beep that tells ya its too warm.
I was running 87/22 on a med tight high grip astro track. Motor lrp 6.5T x12 was around 70-80°C so thats fine, settings were 1114 how can I get the temps down?

Has a fan and the car rolled fine

I got the same issue with my LRP SXX on my 4wd buggy it got too and it burnt up... I can still power it but it cogs pretty bad... And temp was high after 2 minutes both motor and Speedo.. So right now I was thinking of getting a 4 pole motor with 3800KV so I hope it cools everything down....

SXX TC Spec in a durango 410 6.5T

What is the yellow light and constant beep telling me?

I thought it was thermal but that has to have the blue led blinking fast as well right? The esc was only 50°C

It died!!!

So I think it is a BEC failure no power at all no fan nothing so I took the board from a nosram TC spec and got power but the motor wouldn't turn over right, lots of cogging, undrivable so this lead me to HOPE that the new board that LRP are releasing will solve the problem

Anyone else with those thoughts as well? its about $87 + shipping so an expensive try

Thoughts??

My SXX TC spec V2 just died.
Today I recieved a nice package from LRP, installed and bench tested
Seems to work, now to get it in a car to test

Thought Id do some modding while I had it open, I still have the cooling fins in blue if I want to add the fan.
Ill try an addonize them another colour
