I just got a set of lipos and wow great.

I have a plastic storage case with foam.

This will keep the batteries from banging around.

Do I need to be really paranoid and have a separate metal container for each?

My track bag has individual pouches for tools, batteries, etc and I just put them in there. As long as you are careful with them, you'll be fine. Puncture should be your biggest worry.

Most of the lipo's now come in some sort of box, thats what i keep mine in. I have the Team Orions and GensAce lipos and after each time i just slip them back in there box.

I keep mine between races and to/from races in a plastic tray.
Anything else would be overkill...
They do make dedicated carriers but I don't see that as a necessity...
