Default Roar Approved Batteries under $100

Since there seems to be a problem with keeping gens ace packs in stock , and most of the pro-match packs aren't roar-approved

what would you guys suggest?

I have looked into SMC packs but I can't remember all the battery makers so just taking suggestions

thanks,
Jayson

P.S. no bs flaming just please list 2s packs that are reasonably priced, also looking for saddles.

My only question is do you plan on running at roar sanctioned races? If you only do club racing you should find out if you have to use roar sanctioned lipo's or if the lipo just needs to be hard cased etc...........

I do believe turnigy lipo's are now roar approved and possibly the zippy's from hobbyking............Both are great and I've actually switched from Gens Ace to turnigy nano's for the main reason you stated that gens ace is always out of stock and hobbypartz customer service sucks big time........

um for club racing it's not an issue however I race in a series known as JBRL and they require roar approved items, also I hope to do the roar nats held at WC/RC this year(one of my local tracks) So I would rather get roar approved batts now seeing as my other batts failed tonight.

Speedzone USA have saddle, shorty and regular stick packs. The shorty I believe is about $50 the saddle is $80-90 I can't remember off hand and same for the full size stick packs. All are ROAR approved. All have great punch even if you forget to charge them between quals.

I would also be interested in hearing about problems with gens ace batteries, all mine work great and a very good pack for the money.
Here is a list of approved batteries.

You may also want to do some searches and some reading in the electronics section.

Nano-Tech batteries are killer. But if you dont have a bulk order I highly suggest Promatch Batteries. He has a Nice 5000mah 50C Roar approved for $50.

The only problem I've had with them is quality. I'd say half the one's I have gotten have been defective or didn't last very long. When they work, the work great. Good price though, so you don't lose your shirt when you get a bad one.

Sorry I meant not being in stock, nothing else is wrong with them at all. In fact I plan on ordering another 4 cell so I can have two race packs
