integy IP packs are solid and you can get 5800 60c packs for under 75. I run these and a few others and are a very good bang for the buck

i love my smc cmax packs (5400 50c) soo punchie throughout the whole curve, even at down under 3.8v/cell has more power then all my previous packs (nano-tech 65c, gens ace50c , trinity 50c and high velocity 60c shorty)

in 2wd application i picked the 50c pack just for lower weight, in a 4wd application id suggest their 6k/60c pack in a heart beat!

danny's post over on hobbytalk is enlightening also: http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=357870

Modx is a new company with some killer packs and retail on most packs is well below 100.00. The first big shipment is going out to hobby shops over the next few days with packs going to the major news sites for reviews. We are a ROAR affiliate and packs will be ROAR approved.

Web site should be completely finished and the online store will have stock around April 16th. While the main focus currently is to get hobby shops some product we will have some really good deals in the near future via the web site to get the word out.

We hope to offer a high quality product at a reasonable price and if anyone has any questions feel free to contact me at rusty(at)modxrc.com
On a side note we have been testing packs since March of last year and have 2 separate factories overseas producing our packs.
Have a look at www.modxrc.com or www.facebook.com/modxrc

Ryan Maifield and the AE/Reedy factory team drivers use one of these two batteries in the 2wd buggies and Stadium/SC trucks:

Reedy Wolfpack 5000mAh

Reddy 4000mAh Shorty

Default Haiyin Batteries

www.haiyinstore.com

I was down at the Motodome this past weekend for an event and finally had an opportunity to put my 2S packs through some decent testing. I grabbed the 2S 30-40C 4000mah Hard Case lipos. A little on the heavy side, compared to my smaller Dynamite packs, but easily made up for it with the extra punch and consistency. I was only running them in a 2wd SCT with an 8.5T motor, but was very happy with the performance.

My only complaint is the rediculous thickness, rigidity, and the placement of the wires. 10ga wire that is incredibly stiff, coming right out the top. I had been hoping to use these packs in many of my RC cars and trucks, but as it sits right now, they will not work with any of my onroad vehicles because of where the wires are. If the wires were high grade 12ga wire, coming out the end of the pack like most other battery packs, it would make these batteries much more versatile and still been able to hold up to the abuse that land RC would put them through.

Quite impressed with these so far, especially for the Gens Ace / Turnigy style prices. $25 for 2S 4000mah 30-40C packs.

They're lighter and power delivery is probably less aggressive. Batteries are getting too fast these days! :P
