There is no "best".

I run Caster EX-1.5R and couldn't be happier with it.

IMO Caster or Mugen would be a solid choice that will perform and be durable for you.

I've never heard of caster? Who sales them? I've always had associated stuff and been very pleased but there 1/8 scale stuff is pretty pricey.
I noticed caster uses two 2 cell battery packs. What mah do most people run in them?

Thanks

Casterracingusa.com, trick-parts.com, if you have a lhs, they could special order them in no problem.

the car would be the same as any other, except you are running 2) 2s packs instead of one huge 4s one. Usually racers run 2 4000 packs or 5000 packs, but it depends on how long you need to run. The packs need to be series wired to get up to 14.8 volts.

Casters are also a lot easier to do 6s setups with 1300kv motors, etc... Same speed, same runtime, but a lot cooler temps and easier on electronics. Check your track rules.

I would personally run a caster ex1.5r,you will be very happy with the cars on track manners along with the price and the durability of the parts. The car is alittle cheaper than most on the market as far as price goes so you can buy extra parts or tires and what not.And i believe they just just updated the pictures on the website of the car so now you can see what the updated car looks like

This is what brands try to make us think.

I don't think a S811E is twice time better than a NEXX8, but it costs twice as much. The Xerun is superior to the mamba monster regarding my testings and it is cheaper too. I have a lot of other examples.. If what you say was true the best car would be the most expensive and this is far from true.

+1 Alot of people think this way, most if the time it comes down to driver and their ability to set up and drive the car.We all know the serpent may have better quality materials but just because the price tag is cheaper doesnt mean the car is worse by any means, most e-buggies in this market are all capable of winning or performing to the consumers expectations.

yea, specially when you compare RTR vs PRO, but when you compare PRO rollers it's not so obvious

Xerun is another example, that you can save money and buy something realy good. Of course you can spend two times more and buy same esc with carbon "look" and ORION sticker on it

Problem with cars like NEXX8 can be rtr parts like steering knuckles or shock tower.
I saw box full of broken rtr ofna knuckles in my friend rc shop/service

I agree 100%. It is nice paying for a companies advertising, team drivers, and reputation for a product that isn't any better, just older.

For easy math, it is easy to decide $500 for a Caster or $500 for a Mugen. We lose that battle. But when we drop the price and provide more upgrades, much better service, and a we care about our customers attitude. Along with proving daily that we are striving demonstrably to be the best someday, then it is a dilemma for the potential customer to decide, then we win fairly often surprisingly.

Personally, I prefer value and we provide value. Not a deal, not a gimmick, not overpriced hype, but value and customer service and a great product.

I understand how hard it is to make money, especially in a bad economy for all of us. I also respect our customers by pricing fairly compared to Amain and their current brands.

Why else do you see so many people who buy Caster saying "Wow, I cannot believe how great these cars are" etc.... because we have worked for some time to separate from Mugen and increase our parts quality. I can proudly say we have accomplished it all while designing more cars and expanding slowly in the marketplace.
