Hi, I have a losi 8ight e that i just got up and running, my MMP stopped dead 2 days ago, had issues with motor temps as well, so i put in another that i had in slash 4x4 set all timing, start power etc to lowest settings, ran for 5 in, checked motor temp, 63' c ran for another 5 min, motor siezed up, temp over 100'c and 2nd MMP dead too? had throtle epa on radio set to 70%
motor: Tekin t8 2050kv
esc: MMP
Pinon/spur: 15/45
Batteries: gensace 5000mah 4s1p 40c
Any help as to why 2 speedys, motor temp issues and dead motor has occured would be most appreciated!
Thanks

Default man up the esc

I think you are way undergunned with that esc and motor combo.

The buggy is kind of heavy and that motor draws some power. I would run nothing less than a mmm or rx8 in 1/8 scale.

The mmp struggles to power the losi scte 1/10 truck at their weight.
I would stop throwing money just to see the magic white smoke get let out of the esc. send the mmp back for warranty replacement and sell em and step up to a bigger esc

I have a mmm with a castle 2650 on 3s that comes off the indoor track at 115 on esc and about 135-145 on motor , and aI have a rx8 pushing a novak ballistic 8 1900 y wrap on 4s that comes of at 135 on esc and 165 -175 on motor

Default setup

thanks for the reply, i chose this setup as another guy at local track runs the same setup, and been using it for long time, he runs 16/44 (i tried that to start with, but motor got too hot)
bit confused as to why same car/settings speedy and motor etc has two very different results,
was wondering if could be dud motor/esc from the start?

Thanks

If you have the same setup in the 2 cars it dosen't mean anything. He may not be over heating because he is not pulling the trigger as hard as you. If you are heavy on your trigger finger you are going to get more heat build up.
