Any difference between Avidrc and Fast eddy bearings?

I trust Avid before FE. Have a higher reputation within the RC community.

Good to know thanks!

I passed on the plastic bearings and went with rubber shielded bearings and will plan to pack them full of blue lithium grease (can't find marine grease where I live in Ecuador). Since I'm one month shipping time away from everything, whenever a single bearing fails, I will buy a ten pack to throw in the tool box for next time.

Thanks again to all of you guys for your input...I'm one step closer to my goal of relatively low maintenance water resistant rigs!

I used to run only rubber shielded bearings until I got a car that came with the metal. The metal bearings last twice as long. They do let dust in but its a lot easier to get the dust and dirt out.

Once they get gritty I use self cleaning 'dry-lube' lubricant with Teflon. I can usually get them to spin like new after a treatment or two or three if they are really bad.

Once dirt gets in a rubber shielded bearing it stays in and it much harder to remove. I have tried the same service with rubber shielded bearings but found that I have to remove the rubber seals to get the same results and the rubber seals tend to get damaged after you remove them.
