ya, i got that but its hard to get track time or even run for that fact so if i had time i was gonna tune up the shocks thats why i wanted to know if that set-up you posted was for indoors or out and use that as my baseline for indoor/outdoor depending on what you used it for...and i do take notes and want to write this down on the set-up sheet i have printed based off the indoor or outdoor you used that on and hence why i asked

plus if its used for indoor/outdoor im not too far off if i dont like the handling to where as if i guess indoor/outdoor and do that i dont wanna spend all winter trying to figure out what works

So is anyone using the factory 8ight b 2.0 springs(silver fronts, green rears) on their trucks with the 2.0 shocks? If so what are your oils at front and rear?

i have a question guys, for those who put 8ight shocks on the scte ten.

im looking for some, but realized theres the 8ight buggy, and 8eight truggy, also theres 1.0 and 2.0 versions?

are all the shocks the same or are they different? which ones are being put into the scte ten? from what i can tell truggy vs buggy, they are different? unless im just looking at generic pictures.

any help is appreciated!

You want to use the buggy shocks. Losi 1.0 and 2.0 are the same length buggy shocks. Here's mine with 2.0 buggy shocks on it:

1.0 and 2.0 shocks are the same.

You want the buggy shocks. 8 truggy shocks are too long.

alright awesome, thanks guys

so 1.0 vs 2.0 is there any physical differences? they are the same length, but what about plastic vs aluminum parts? does 2.0 feature aluminum caps or something?

also i want a front and rear set correct?

1.0 and 2.0 shocks are the same (as stated previously).

Race Roller shocks have aluminum top caps, bottom caps, TiN coated shafts, and more durable (IMO) pistons and shaft guides.

RTR shock have plastic top caps, bottom caps, uncoated shock shafts and, as noted different pistons and shaft guides.

Yes, you want 2 fronts and two rears.

I run silver in rear and red in the front ALSO in response to your original comment...

for the scte, theres 5 options for hole diameter, each having 4 holes per piston:
0.95mm
1.00mm
1.05mm
1.10mm
1.15mm
Get on ebay and do a search or i'll link it up after this comment but you can buy the pistons seperately so you'll need to do some looking but this is what i bought and threw all the other stuff out other than the fluid and shock parts(pistons and springs) throwing away the steering link and clutch springs

But here is what i bought....Comes with 54, 55, and 56 pistons and maybe a blank piston set

I'll selll a set of the nicer ones w/ alum caps ti shafts etc.. 50 shipped (45+5). One of the front shafts may be standard shaft or the ti coating has just warn off (that happens) either way no performance issue. Set your ride height and go with these.. unless you want to tweak ;P

Let me save you some time.. setup for everyone should be:

54 front, silver springs (maybe black), with 35 to 42.5wt oil depending on the weight of your setup and the temp. 2/3 rebound

56 rear, silver springs (green is pushing it for light scte's), go with 30-37.5wt oil again depending on weight and temp. 1/3 rebound

here is a pic, also including a few shock bushings so you can slide them right on your current posts may need a spacer behind as well for proper clearance
