I will admit that I love hard cases in my 10th scale cars for 2s.

I'd actually just buy a generic empty hard case that I could use with my current soft packs. Just seal it up with some tape.

Hum i always store my lipos around 3.90v to 3.89v per cell and they seem fine and had good power. Anyways yea if you have battery straps in your battery tray a soft case lipo will be fine and just have some good padding in the tray.
