well i would recomend getting the car that has best parts availability around you because both cars can be competitive and keep up with each other all day and are both very good cars but needing parts if something breaks is probobly the biggest thing to worry about when buyin a car no matter what it is

Parts arent too much of a problem either way. I am 2 hrs away from a lhs so most is internet sales. Believe I will have to check out the 8ight-b...we shall see as time goes by.

1/8th scale racing is great. It's a total rush. I have raced a few different brands. I rated them on a spreadsheet.

Like another poster stated, parts availability should probably influence your decision. Nothing worse being caught at a track with a broken buggy and no way to fix it.

I like losi but not there 1/8's they clap out way to fast.

Serpent, quality is amazing and you don't even have to worry about parts there so tough.

I love your spreadsheet! Too bad you hadn't tried a Caster (not just because they are my personal choice) but because it is so similar to a Mugen but in some ways a little better...

For the sake of this thread though... I think ALL of the high end 1/8 have their merits and even the worst ones out there driven well is still the buggy to beat. My favorites are of course Caster then Mugen, Serpent, Associated

Thanks bud. For the most part they are all pretty darn good. I also plan on trying a Serpent 811e, Agama e-buggy, and maybe even the Caster.

I personally like the Associated. However since all your friends have the Losi I would go with it. That way yall can swap parts.

I vote for the AE, parts price and the fact that it is a kit really seals the deal for me

There are a ton of threads just like this if you use the search button.

Like previously said all the most common newer high end buggies are all great quality.

I'm going to have to say the caster also. Although they are a relatively new company, their cars handle very well and have very high quality components.

Yes I have. I drove it today and it was awesome. It's very stable, yet nimble. It has good balance in the air, and handles the blown out parts well.
