I thought the same thing, I've been using the RT6 MM Jconcepts body on my truck and it works great. I'm not sure how different the T5M mounts are to the RT6 but if you buy one let us know.

I looked earlier today at Big Squid news and saw the Jcon body for the T5M and I swear it looks like it will fit the Durango just by judging at the picture. That's why I asked. Will be hard for me to buy a $30 body that I don't know if it will fit. I would be upset if $30 go down to waste like that.

I don't want to read too much into it, but hopefully that means we'll see a v2.

Default Drivetrain?

Anyone ever have an issue with their truck having a lag after you gun it? Coming out of corners it seems to take a second for my truck to spool up before it picks up speed. The truck is pretty new. I tried messing with the slipper, if anything it's tight. Checked the punch on the ESC. Wonder if anyone has an idea.

Running 81/29 I think on a 13.5. The gearing is pretty cold, 130 roughly. My DEX and DESC are geared similarly with the identical motor and they giddy up.

Are you running gear or ball diff? If ball diff it may be sipping? Maybe something binding in the gearbox? Or at the outer hubs. Pull some things apart and see if the hubs spin freely and you can spin the gearbox without motor.... Might be a bad bearing somewhere

Good luck.

Default Sideway shorty!!!

Did the sideways shorty mod on my DEST, and what a difference. Handled so much better. Rear end was only loose when I gave it too much throttle. Playing around with rear gear diff. Went to 4 planetary metal gears and 3000 weight, was 7000. Don't know if improvement was battery or oil change. Or both?? I used a B5 battery brace by Jconcepts and two turnbuckles. Gonna try a ball diff next time to see if there is a big difference. Need a touch more steering with corner entry. I took front weight out, may put back in. I am running mid motor 3 gear. Indoor dirt/clay. Using AKA Chainlinks. Some running slicks.

Where can I get information on the battery mod?

There is a bit of info in the Dex210 thread about it.

You Basically dremel the supports in the middle of the chassis add Turnbuckles for rigidity and double side tape the battery down.

As per pic

Gear diff
5000 weight oil
4 planetary gears
Seems to spin free.

Slippers pads are fresh.

Thanks for the info.. Im trying to update my truck to the long outdrive cups. It seems like the ridge the bearing ride on the diff is a bit wider. When I tighted the trans back up everything inside gets tight as a bitch. I have to back off all the transmission bolts way way off. Anyone shed some light on this problem. I searched but couldn't find anyone else having the same problem. Thanks
