I believe it is just too thin at this point and the forces created when you case a jump is too much for it. I wish I could say it was my bad driving, but I am not doing anything that everyone else isn't doing at my track. The difference is that none of their chassis's are breaking.
Just broke mine yesterday - nothing crazy either. I also broke my DIMEC20 chassis on my 210 buggy! 2 chassis in one night. My DESC210 is hanging tough though.

So I was looking at it, and I know that the SC gets more abused than any other and having all the extra wheel weight hang off of it - but why doesn't it break? I think I figured it out - The SC has that bumper piece that is held on with the screws in the area that break happens. While it may not be much, but I am looking at modifying the buggy and stadium truck to use that bumper piece to, literally, double that areas thickness. Might just be enough, but not sure till I try.

I need to see about an aluminum stadium truck chassis... It could use it for sure.

Anyone else thought about making this mod?

RCJunky1 was testing aluminium chassis for the stadium truck and short course. http://www.rctech.net/forum/11231517-post7855.html.
He was asking for interest a while back, here and on oople http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110451

Yup, if theres interest I can probably get them made at around $60 plus shipping in bare aluminum, I need a pretty big order to get them hard anodized, but if I can get an order of 50 buggy, st, or sc chassis I can probably get it done at a slightly higher cost ($65, if anyone whats a buy a bunch to sell locally I can offer slightly better pricing for your efforts)

I'll be calling the guy running the SC chassis wednesday, but so far it sounds like the ST chassis is very good. I'm now working on getting the length fixed as it is a slight bit too short (2-3mm) but apparently its awesome making the truck feel more precise. If your interested in a SC, ST or +8mm chassis, let me know.

I'm going to give this mod a try to. I didn't break my ST chassis yet, but it is not looking good where the 4 screws go through to the front bulkhead. Ordered a new chassis and will put the SC bumper on the front, will probably cut it down also.

for a $4 mod, its not a bad idea. might outfit my ST and buggy as well, and just shave down the bumper

Hey guys just thought I should give my .02 cents. I own all there of the 210 and the desc410 what I have found is that the dimec chassis all need a front and rear slid plate and they will be nullity proof. I have made my own out of 2mm carbon fiber and it has worked perfectly plus is very light and does not where down like aluminum witch was what I started with.I would post my pics but for some reason I can't.if someone could do it for me I could send them a email with my work and hopefully they could post them for me. Thanks

Durango's shocks are some of the best on the market. You must be doing something wrong?

Are you assembling the shock caps with the bleed screw out of the cap? these have to be out otherwise you will push that oring right out and most likely damage can occur.

Where are you losing oil, bottom seals or top cap? Mine weep after a couple weeks, but very little.
