How hard are you hitting the pipes mate as they don't pop off that easy at all on track
Did you build them with a drill or wind them on and off the full thread and use grease in threads ?
I had trouble with my DEX210 ball cups but this time round I built them as shown on TD site and they have been perfect.
Yes I used gear diffs in the 2wd from TD and just use grease to cover the gers don't fill it and it will take about 2 or 3 lipos to loosen right up.

Well since I haven't been able to sell my rango I decided to give it another shot. I ordered the tc5 ballstuds as well as jconcept and losi rod ends so we'll see if that fixes the issue I've been having with the turnbuckles popping off very easily...... Going to try the gear diff as well since for some reason I can't seem to build the dang ball diff correctly.......... Also upgraded to alum. toe blocks and going to try and dial it in next time out at the track using Randy Pike's setup as a guideline........
As for the ball cups, it's 50/50. I have 2 buddies who have nothing but problems. And myself and another friend have been running the same HD ball cups for 50+ packs and have only popped off 1 or 2 on hard hits.

The Durango ball diff is hands downs.. The best.. Smoothest.. Longest lasting diff on the market. Follow the how to video on the Durango site, get the circlip on the right way, and do not over tighten. It will be golden! Hell I'll even build it for you and you'll fall in love lol

Can you use the DEX210 chassis with the DEST210?

gear diff mate all you need is AE black grease or Losi smart diff grease but only enough to cover the gears do not fill it right up its not required
it will be stiff to start with but run it in for 2 or 3 lipos and it will loosen up perfectly and enjoy the next 6 months of not touching it as it stays perfect for a long time
have a look at Randy Pike set up to get a start mate and work from there

Kinda doing the same also as the buggy except I'm using the new Durango rear hubs with vertical ball studs 2mm shim outside and 1mm inside. Also have on the Tresrey 2* anti-squat w/ .5* toe alloy rear arm mounts. Pistons are Ghea 1.3 x 4 hole front w/ 30wt oil, Ghea 1.2 x 4 hole rear w/ 25wt oil. Or use kit pistons and block off 2 holes with toothpicks and CA glue. Shorty pack 3/4 forward. Truck jumps great and steers awesome. A tad loose in the rear but still tightening the diff, may move bat back to the mid location. Also have Exotek alloy idle shaft and Tresrey motor plate and front bulkhead w/ pivot supports. A little red bling never hurts.

Ok more testing done yesterday for our new controlled class of stadium truck
We will all be running 10.5 blinky mode.
I am running 81/29 on the above combo and it's so smooth to drive.
After another couple of hundred laps this trucks are just so much fun to drive
After 10 minute run my motor was on 50 degs

Just build my gear diff
Just built my gear diff and I know it's a stupid question but this is my first 2 wd kit I've built and I'm just wondering if both out driver should turn smoothly or should the feel like a 4wd buggy/truggy diffs ???
