Hello. I am trying to help out the neighborhood kid. He has a DEST210 with a broken shock tower and gear box case. We can find the shock tower. But the gear box(TD310257) cannot be found in the USA. Will the TD310459 work(Hobbytown USA guy says it will but Hobbico phone rep won't confirm that information). Or should we just order from the UK via ebay? Thanks for your time and hopefully someone here has the answer.

TD310459 Can confirm this works on a DEST210, I had this on my old ST, It's a stronger G/box anyway for the ball stud to mount into.

It's a direct drop-in if running MM, if running RM you'll either need the type B rear braces or modify the existing ones due to the sway bar mount being molded into the new case.

Wow wow wow.... Look what I got here! This one will be cherished and only run on race days. Should last a long time. God I hope so anyway, it took an International effort to get this into my hands. I truly wonder how many of these are still out there.

Yeah it came faster than I expected too. So now I've got two DEST bodies that came with the old truck. Good shape but look very 2001 in colors. Practice bodies. Then a custom fit JC body, painted white and now this DEST body, which will be white as well. White bodies with minimal decals (chassis make, Power system, radio) and black DE wheels looks very striking on the track. Easy to see and stands out from all the flame bodies that are the trend right now. It's funny, I'll get compliments on mine while it's sitting next to a custom, $100 paint job... Go figure lol.

I've found that if you wax the body, the dust fly's off it and you don't get all those micro scratches on it that make them look old fast. They are hell to stack while in storage though. They slide all over the place and you can't sit anything on top of them. Kind of like when you just waxed your car, then your girl goes to sit on the hood and slides right off onto her Ass. Same principle.

I really hope this DEST was worth it. It'll be the only one around here. That's why it was so important to get the actual DEST body, I want it to stand out as a TD truck. I still need to wire up the rear arms. I've got about ten sets of spares but from what you guys say, they will quickly break. I've yet to break any DESC rear arms but we'll see.

I've broken them on both by far more frequently on the ST. I think it's the wider stance. Puts a little more strain on the arms. Some of mine have been broken from being hit from behind as well. The SC body and bumper protects little more from that.

I would definitely wire up the ST ones.

JConcepts Finnisher for the Kyosho RB6 Mid Motor truck. It does require some modification. Either to the body or the rear shock tower. I chose to cut out small sections in the body to clear the towers but many here seem to trim the rear center section of the tower.

I wanted it to sit a little lower (big air track-less parachuting) so I cut two holes in the hood to clear the tips of the front tower. Then I cut a strip out of the back to clear the center section of the rear tower. I then drilled a hole in that center section and that's where I put a body pin in to hold the back of the body. The way shown earlier in the thread is cleaner but I accomplished what I wanted and it looks fine.

SUCKS about the body availability of this truck. No aftermarket and a distinct factory body. I guess we will eventually just be SOL.

You can mount without modifying the rear by raising the front mounts too. Does sit kinda high though.
Unfortunately like the rest of the Durango vehicles, there are basically no oem bodies available anymore, anywhere

Yeah I had to get help from a member here in Europe just to get set up for 2017. Big rush but missed the opener this weekend regardless. I'm scrambling to get all my TD's put together and even remotely dialed. I thought i had time until I ran into problems getting bodies and a few other odds and ends. If only I had known....

Like I said before, I've been spoiled running Team Associated cars qnd trucks. Everything is available anywhere. Not the end of the world though, 1st world problems, I should be 100% ready to race all classes by the end of the month.

Here is my truck with the JCon body installed. I really didn't need to cut the holes in the hood. Buy the clearance was so close that it would have rubbed the paint when flexing and vibrating. I'd rather have holes than scraped looking paint. You can see in the rear how I lowered the body. I like the stance and how it turned out.
