Ordered LRC rear block. Also ordered Intech "inline" front steering blocks to try and get more steering throw w/o interference. Will let you all know how they work out.

Picked on of these up on the cheap this morning and thinking of converting it to a front motor design much like the 210f is set up. Will be using a center shaft from a desc410r to be able to move some of the weight to the middle and set up a new chassis plate with the exotek front kick up plate. Will post some picks once parts start arriving.

A few snaps from last weekends meeting where we had 5 stadium trucks, 2 of them Durango's, both of which broke down in the final

Luckily I got mine repainred but as it was a rush job it ended up with masses of positive camber on right rear (you can see it in last pic) then no sooner had i fixed that problem, the retaining screw came out of the front axle, it WAS thread locked in place but still came lose.

I did finish in 3rd about a lap behind second and 4 behind 1st, which given the problems i had wasn't bad

Some will know me from the DEX210 thread.

I saw where the RT6 body was mentioned above. Has anyone tried the JConcepts version? Was just curious if you have to do any mods to make it work. I have a DEST210 and DEX210 but can't find a truck body either

Yes it will work. Get the MM version. Depending on the rear shock tower you use. You may have to take a little heat gun to clear it. If you are using graphite/carbon fiber one no issues. You can also clip the little extra brace across the top to clear. Fits well.

Hey guys. Wondering what 12mm hex rims would give about the same width. I understand how to convert to 12mm hex. Just don't know what rims out there would work. Thanks

Ran my truck yesterday on indoor dirt/clay. Modified for sideways shorty. Added SMC 30 gram weights front and back of battery and 20g weight under servo. Best it handled ever. Running 7.5 motor. It was so much fun until my front bulkhead broke. Got nailed by a 4wd SC.
Time to get the exotek aluminum bulk head.

Wow I had to go way back to find this thread. A month without activity is like a decade on rctech....

Anyway, so it begins! The total rebuild and restofication of a tired, old DEST210R. Stock class terror headed to a track near you. Lol

For sure. The problem with both the DEX and the DESC was that I built the DEX (incorrectly) long ago but never ran it. The DESC was also built incorrectly before I started talking to you guys about the DEX. No excuses for this one! Lol. I've got two painted DEST bodies that came with it, not my colors but they'll do. Both missing the rear wing so I'll have to make one. I also picked up the MM RT6 finisher body to do up in my colors. I did however find a hobby shop in Germany that says they can get the DEST210R bodies. Bank transfer only though. Reputable shop so I'll likely take the risk. Parts for Durango seem to be plentiful in Europe. I seriously can't believe there are no bodies anywhere in the US. I've called all over. Somewhere, somebody has some of these bodies sitting on a dusty shelf unsold. No one knows they are there so they will likely remain that way. I'm going to keep trying. You'd think they would be on EBay. I guess the DEST really wasn't very popular.

When the DEST first came out it the class was semi-popular. IT slowly went down and now is making a comeback in the US and Europe. I just saw Jorn who used to be with Durango racing a prototype ST from sepent. The Durango's were so ahead of their time they are still viable. I really hope somebody purchases Durango and overhauls it. They can be very competitive.

No doubt. Well here it is. I selectively used some of the upgrade bits that came with it. I've got piles of Exotek and TD upgrades left over from both the DESC and DEST restofication. Need to glue up some tires and give this a shot. Attached is the setup I'm starting out with.
