Well I finished up my outdoor season last night with the truck. I did win the points, but there wasn't a huge turnout so I really only beat about 4 guys.

I am pretty impressed with the truck. I didn't have issues with ballcups, I can remember 2 instances where I popped them off, but they were both pretty major crashes. I did get an Exotek RR hanger, which is pretty much a necessity. At the first race the chassis flexed enough for the pin to fall out without breaking the arm. Towards the end of the year I had one of the screws that holds the RF hanger on back out and the hinge pin popped out again without breaking anything. Besides that, the thing was pretty indestructible. I do have some slop in the arms and hubs now, but after racing 30 times with it I think that's to be expected. I experimented with shock oils and pistons at the beginning of the year but once I found the ones I liked, I kept them in for the rest of the year. I have no signs of leaking, but I have yet to tear the truck down and check everything. I also changed out the diff balls once.

The biggest annoyance I have (and this goes for any stadium truck) is the rear wing. I went through 4 of them, and I tried a few things to try and beef them up, to no avail.

I wish this class would come back a little more...I'm not sure if we are gonna run them next year or not. Either way, I am keeping it for now. I plan to run it at one or two big indoor races this winter.

I also just noticed that the kit is down to 180 at Tower Hobbies, add in their discount codes and it gets even cheaper!

I am very happy with my ST. I currently run on a small medium bite indoor track. The truck is very plush and easy to drive.

Just got a quick gearing question, I'm using a 7.5 motor, 83 spur and a 24 pinion, it's running pretty hot, do you think a 21t pinion will be a better option?

I would recommend a 19 or 20t pinion, not sure if they would fit though. Here's a link to to my website, you can find a basic starting point on gearing http://durangofansite.com/DEST210gearing.php

Just got the rtr version, I was surprised to open the box and see that they have included a complete Dimec Type B chassis set along with the completed Type A truck.

Default Steering/Wheels hitting arms

I'm wondering what to do about the front wheel hitting the front arm. I didn't have this issue last year with the wheels that came with the kit, but now I've got new TD wheels and they are hitting the front arms. I've got the front axle spacer on the outside.

Any thoughts?

Relieve the spot where it rubs with a dremel. Not sure why this is happening (I haven't seen the new wheels), but I had to do this on my SC with stock wheels. The arms should be plenty strong, unless you have to take a whole lot off.

I also use a dremel sanding drum to make some room for it. My diff is hollering, time for a rebuild. At least I have an extra set of Acer carbide balls for it in the box. I really like the tip I got from one of the sites for using the convex side of the ring against the balls, makes it very smooth and lasts longer. My car is so quiet from doing this.

My local indoor track is about to start racing again so I'm about to get some time on that truck to see what I can really do with it.
