Anyone have any idea on what gearing would be used with a 17.5 motor? My truck didnt come with a pinion and i have no clue on what pinion i would have to use. Spoke to one of them recaers at my track and he said i would need to change the spur to run 17.5 stock motors. I am lost. any help would be gladly respected...

You gonna run boosted or no timing "blinky"?
Boosted you can run the stock 87/20-21 to start.
Blinky I would go down on spur and up on pinion..not sure where to start. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Watch for temps..keep under 140 and top out at around 3/4 length of straight.

Well after a few hours of testing these trucks are really fun to drive that's for sure

I am less then 0.5 of a second behind my dex210 mod buggy with only a boosted 13.5 in the truck it fast and fun and has a heap of grip

Would like to know the weight of other guys trucks though please.

1880g = 3760lbs.

Great fun class though real happy and ball cups are fine as well

finally got mine together and on the track last night and it felt great, i only had one issue of a ball cup poping of, tightened down my droop screws a little and reset my ride hight and then no more issues. I built the 3gear rear motor like in my dex210 and used the same set up other than shock oils and i had better grip and handling than the t4.1s on the track I was running with. I ran 81tooth spur, with a 30t pinion on a 13.5 boosted and felt great!

Kinda figured they were pretty good with as quiet as the thread has been. Usually it's only real busy if guys aren't happy.

Did you use the box setup? Got one ordered, just waiting for it to show up.

Yep agreed truck is great no complaints and no issues at all

I used the same set up as my 2wd buggy for locations etc but went a bit heavier in shock oil apart from that what works for a buggy will work for the truck and I am running shorty as well.

kinda doing the same also as the buggy except I'm using the new Durango rear hubs with vertical ball studs 2mm shim outside and 1mm inside. Also have on the Tresrey 2* anti-squat w/ .5* toe alloy rear arm mounts. Pistons are Ghea 1.3 x 4 hole front w/ 30wt oil, Ghea 1.2 x 4 hole rear w/ 25wt oil. Shorty pack 3/4 forward. Truck jumps great and steers awesome. A tad loose in the rear but still tightening the diff, may move bat back to the mid location. Also have Exotek alloy idle shaft and Tresrey motor plate and front bulkhead w/ pivot supports. A little red bling never hurts.
