What esc/motor combo would you put in a roller?

Tekin rx8/t8 2000 kv?

That or a castle creations mamba monster 2200kv or even a hobbywing combo 2200kv-2000kv

The motor it comes with is pretty insane. Castle 2200 Mamba monster + esc ( rebranded as the HPI Blur Esc and Tork motor )

Can't see any reason for anything else on mine.

My stock motor is just fine, it has so much power it is just crazy. It is soo fun. Cant drive it for 2 days (was goin krazy with it and the wheel popped off, need a replacement part

I've got a roller headed my way is why I ask, I like Tekin but trying to figure out best KV to get for the t8

if you want cheaper option that should be just as fast is a hk120amp esc, 45$ shipped, its sensored/sensorless. then either get one of their turnigy motors in the 2000kv range if you want sensorless, or hit ebay for a 2000kv sensored hobby wing motor for 100$ shipped.

the sensored motor will be smoother, but its twice the price of a sensorless one.

im all for the expensive systems, tekin is great and castle is good too, but i rather put cheap stuff in my basher trucks as they tend to have a rough life lol.

Nice, so what setup would uyou put in the FLUX.. Do the wires need to be soldered or is just plug ins like the Castle ones.
