Default Any feedback on the Orion Carbon Batteries

I'm looking at buying a couple of the Orion Carbon series 4s 90c batteries and was wandering if anyone had any feedback on these before I make this purchase?

$175 for a Lipo is ridiculous. I think you're crazy for wanting to spend that much on fake numbers and a fancy label. I understand 4S batteries are going to be more, but you should still be able to find something for much cheaper.

Stay away...the customer service is horrible. Why spend that kind of money when Turnigys are just as good.

I could go into my long story, but I won't. Let's just say you will be just as ticked off as I was if one fails and you try to get a replacement. Mine was 4mths old and I was told "too bad" on the phone.

Worst CS I have ever seen

The Soldering inside the case Broke off on 3 out of 4 batteries for my friend and me.

That's the 4S 6400 ones.

Crazy.

ZERO customer service.

I have two of the pro 2s 90c packs and they are by far the best lipo's I've owned.. zero issues.

The nanotech packs are good, but they don't beat the orions. I have both and it's clear by punch and recovery that the 90c orions are a better lipo. Cost is often a factor and if you are strapped the nanotech's are a great option, and you only loose minimal performance. I'm not sure they even have a roar legal (even hardshell) 4s nano pack though.

I ran a carbon orion lipo a little while ago, the 90c 6500, and it was one of the softest, poorest performing lipos I have ever run. I switched to the Protec 65c 6500s and they are WAY stronger. Running them back to back you can feel a dramatic difference.

Thunder powers are awesome and so is the customer service. I also like the ProTechs.

I hear that Turnigy has NO warranty whatsoever. True? False?

I had the older Orion 5100mah 4S lipo. Case started cracking after a few runs. Lasted 6 months then dropped a cell. Horizon told me that there was NO warranty for it (aka: go pound sand....). That represented the very last time I would ever pay more than $130 for a lipo and the last time I would buy an Orion 4S.

False......the cost for them makes warranty irrelevant IMO

I think hobbykings customer service is improving. Never made a warranty claim on a battery though. I am using the Gens Ace and they arnt bad. My friend is using a CRC battery. It was only $85 bucks. It performs a little better than the Gens Ace he says. Got it at the LHS to. Also has a warranty I think.
