Default hpi firestorm flux/mamba max?

I am going to be picking up a used firestorm tomorrow and is powered by a Mamba Max esc with the 4700 kv motor, he is also throwing in a 7700kv motor. since I am fairly new to the hobby, which motor is best to run for just messing around and occasionally running it a local track near my house? I have been reading up on the Mamba Max and they sound really good, especially the fact that you can program them through USB on a computer. also, I will be running 6 cell nimh batteries for now until I can afford a lipo charger.

The 4700 is definitely the better in the firestorm, you can't gear the car low enough for the 7700 not to overheat.

OK thanks, that's exactly what I was thinking also. so what exactly is the 7700kv best suited for?

For lighter touring cars or buggies.
