Default So Frustrating...Need HELP!

Hey guys, just got my Kyosho Inferno VE Race Spec today, and this thing is frustrating the heck out of me . I'm trying to use my Nimh and my 2s LiFe packs, and it just wouldn't budge. It would turn on and have really good power for about 3 seconds, then it would just lower down until it stops. The ESC then keeps flashing red. I would have to turn it on and off every time it does this. Any ideas? Please Help! I'm not sure if this happens with Lipo batts too.

Not sure what esc your using. It sounds like low volt cutoff
I have seen on some brushless setups nimh just won't deliver enough juice.
Being life packs there voltage is lower than a lipo, so once again check lvc

You're trying to run an electric 1/8thscale on NiMH and 2S life packs? Thats your problem... It may say it will run "6-12 Cells (NiMh) and 2S-4S (Lipo)" but I wouldn't try to run it on anything smaller than a 3S life/lipo... It has a 2050kv motor so It is gonna need more juice! I wouldn't ever dare to try to run NiMH on anything but 1/10th scale btw... Not a good idea!

I don't think it is the battery because it rips when it starts. I have a huge feeling it might be the LVC. I heard Kyosho ships them on a Lipo mode. I've read the manual and it did say something about an ESC LVC setting, but it doesn't show how to change it Anyone know?

you will have to get the programmer for that specific speedo. maybe check kyosho's site for help. Or just buy 2 lipo batteries and problem solved.

K thanks for your reply. Would it work if i use two 2s Life batterys connected together? 4S Life = 13.2V and i think 4S Lipo is 14.4V.

Figured out the problem. I managed to find out how to turn off the LVC. Turns out you don't need the programmer. Thanks everyone!
