The older RC8 is not bad and it's still more than capable of winning..but the the newest version.. the RC8.2e is waaaaaay better on a blown out track, is a lot smoother, jumps better.. It's a much improved product, personally I would wait a while, save your money and get the 8.2e..

I looked into it a little bit, it should fit but there are a couple other parts you have to buy also (not expensive). The real problem for me is it does not accept large pinions. At its cost and limited pinion range, I may as well get another Grid RC mount for a few bucks extra.

What's the difference between new shock shafts and the old ones? Do I NEED them for the conversion?
