Don't have a B4 so...
The TLR is great but I can't get it as dialed as easily, but I haven't totally given up on it yet. It's great but quirky, probably just me. It is a very clean design though, easy to work on, simple but effective adjustments and parts are more common if you need them. Been a long time Losi guy.
The 210 is a huge advancement in design but I simply don't have enough wheel time with it yet to say how much I like it or why. And frankly, why couldn't they settle on one design? why 4 options? so we have to build and test each one on every track under every condition? Frickin beautiful though, Durangos best effort so far. It should be the best car but....
The RB5 comes out of the box and on the track almost like I gave birth to it.
I think I need another one.

Not a newb and I would not run a gear diff. I think gear diffs suck, idk why someone would want to switch to them unless they didnt know how to set a ball diff. I would much rather set a ball diff than change fluid. With fluid it isn't always the same. It might be close by it isn't the same also it changes with temperature and it also breaks down.
I was just saying i feel taking the servo out is a pain. It sucks that you have to take the front end off to get it out rather than 2 screws.
I had the 22 and the diff sucked. Ae and Kyosho last far longer.
I would go with the Durango.

I know the 22 needs to use special wheels, does the durango?

they run a 14mm hex, however if you don't have existing wheels you'll have to stock up on them regardless..
wheels shouldn't make a difference in choosing. there are aftermarket companies making wheels for both the TLR and Durango.
step 1: pick a car you'll be happy with looking at on the bench. Step 2: find which one you can get parts for locally. if your ordering online, revert to Step 1. if still undecided, ask someone who knows nothing about the hobby. show them a picture of your choices, BUT you have to go with what they choose.
they all can be winners, just pick one and drive.

no.. You are supposed to know what you want to run before you build the car. If you are on carpet/turf, you run the MM. If you are on clay or dirt, you run the RM. They designed it this way so you can run the car however you want to run it... they engineered the car that way so the UK/carpet guys can run the car, as well as those of us that run in the dirt.
