i need help on deciding wether or not to buy a losi mini-t or a mini-z mr-02? which is faster out of the box? whats the better buy? and what would you get? i allready have tc3 so i figured i would get the mini-t cause its off-road but then the mr-02 is nice because it can be used indoors for when it snows here in connecticut so i dont know what to do
Tony it might be a shameless plug..But for what you get vrs. what you pay,The 18T is the best deal on a mini. The mini quake is cool but I think the 18T is more fun.The losi cost to much for what you dont get(battery, charger, bearings and oil shocks). The Xrays are also nice but a pain to get parts for,but their are quite a few hop ups for the Xray. For me(and the carpet I have in my house)the on road minis dont work as well in the house as the trucks do.I would look at the 18T,its just a better deal and its way faster than the mini T out of the box.I also think Associated did a better job with the radio system(a first.. )if you want to get a brushless motor/speed controller later on you dont need to get another radio..like you need to on the mini t.If you want to get a faster motor you dont need to mod your motor plate..like you do on the mini t.I had a mini t(note..I had)got rid of it because the 18T was so MUCH better. The choice is yours.

The Mini-T has very very good aftermarket support but the 18T is still new. I owned a XXX-4 before and I found getting parts for it hard and slow. Associated are pretty much sold at nearly every hobby dealer and aftermarket parts for the 18T will be coming out all over the place soon
some guys with rc18t are whining about the lack of slipper clutch. the only thing u can do is loosen your diff but it will cause slippage and wear out ur digg. rc18t has one complicated problem. nobody makes a slipper for it
And why would you need a slipper on an 18T.. I have been running mine for about 2 weeks now and have not felt like i needed one..

I guess sorta like the stock Losi gear diff not taking the HP from a 6 cell pack or a better motor..I have had no problems with the gears on my 18T..and yes i do jump mine.

there are guys running the mamba 8000 brushless system in there 18t's they are not having problems with the gears. and they are running on a track with 10th scale buggys and trucks. they are about as fast as a mod truck with a good 10 turn in it. so a slipper is obviosly not needed
