1.inspect to make sure the wheels arent stripped out.
2.Make sure that the pinion is on the spur gear fully and that the spur gear isnt stripped out.
3.Open up the transmission and inspect the gears. If i had to guess i would say your idler gear is stripped out.
Have someone at your lhs check it out to see what they think.

Good Luck

Hit every nail on the head!! /\ If it does end up being your idler gear stripped, pay the few extra $$$ and go with all metal gears... Avoid this problem in the future...

If all the gears are fine then it has to be the diff. Either it's loosened up too much or the 5700 fried it. Try tightening it back up and see if it still feels smooth. If not throw some new rings, balls, and a thrust bearing in and have at it!

Have you checked the wheel hexes to verify that the drive pin hasn't fallen out? The Losi RTR hexes have a tendency to let the pins fall out as they wear, and the pin is so narrow that it isn't always obvious when they are missing.

1. It should be a gear diff in there so you might pull it out and look inside.
2. there is a roll pin that hold the top shaft gear to the shaft. Not tooften that it break but I have seen it before.
3. cvd pins are both broken(either the driveshaft to axle or tire pin).
