I ran at the Covina track once. We had come down from Central California to run at The Ranch and got rained out.

They had this ENORMOUS pole right in the middle of the track, and a big jump about 5 feet in front of it. The shop owner didn't have a single Losi part in inventory, which I figured out after I took the left front off my 2 week old XX buggy.

Good times.

Is that a glass counter or some sort? I want to take pictures of my rc cars using very similar base/background. Looks amazing, it's not photo-shopped right? JK.

Thank you for bringing back the good old memories. Many folks these days don't appreciate the r/c history, how it has evolved in last 20 plus years.

Its a 3' x 3' piece of black backed glass that I use to shoot things just like the car here.

Awesome job Capt.! I used to stare at those full page ads in RCCA as a kid and try to figure out how to get my hands on a JRX2. I never did get the car, but I still have the magazines. Keep up the good work!

Seeing your car makes me wonder if I should build my new Junior 2 with bushings kit. Although I don't have the other stuff to make it a roller like yours. Your car looks great!

Purely awesome man. Looks good. Brings back so many memories.

I'm 100% sure on the battery colors.
SCR-Red
SC - Yellow
SCE - Yellow

Is that a Novak T4 Speed Controller?

I remember the hot motors back then were the Revtechs, Race Preps and B&R.

Back in the day I was down at The Ranch Pit Shop with my Grasshopper and saw Gil Losi Jr testing this thing out before it was released. It was awesome and killing my Grasshopper!

Looks great!!

Nice car Cap'n

About the battery bars, did they have those back then?
I remember having to use the braided stuff, or some guys would cut little bars out of copper sheets
