Default wiring electronics in 1/8e buggy question

Puttin my new buggy together and i need to wire up my esc and motor. I have a mmp and tekin 2650. Should i b using 5.5mm bullet connectors in between them or can i get away w using the standard connectors on the mmp? I think they are 3mm maybe....

The standard castle bullets, should be fine, if it was mine though and assuming you don't want to pull it apart again I'd solder them together, this will eliminate any possible problems with bullets becoming loose or unconnected and it will also have lower resistance in the wiring.

IMO though the mmp is light duty for 1/8 scale, I'd try to keep your weight down, it's a great esc as I've used them in the past but there more a 1/10 scale unit

are you doing 3S or 4S with that motor?

If 4S, watch your temps on the ESC.

Ok was thinking of a 12 or 13t pinion to start. Figured i could tame it w/ some esc settings too

yeah, it might be possible. I just remember how hard those motors hit. Lots of wheel spin. 3S they worked really well on though.

But you may have better luck now.

you might think about 4mm bullet or ec5 conecotrs for your battery though, deans didn't cut it for me

I race my 8ight e 2.0 with a 2650 on 3s geared 15/45 and it's to fast I have the EPA dialed back some the 4s 2650 is just ballistic the times I have done it, it's to much for mediumish sized track 62x90

Oh and either change esc to 6.5 and motor to 6.5 bullets or solder them direct
