Default FDR and gearing

OK, so I'm starting to get a slight handle on FDR and gearing set ups, but something I haven't been able to figure out... Does a matching FDR with different gears affect torque/speed?

example, on a B4.1

29/72 = 6.46 fdr
34/84 = 6.42 fdr

will both of these gearing options act the same? Or will the 29/72 have more low end and the 34/84 have more top end?
