"slightly under MSRP"
I understand this! I do enjoy having my local shop here for a bearing or something needed quick. But generally I pay more to buy from them then the internet. They used to charge max. sug retail price I noticed when I rounded up parts and what it should cost. My total online came to about $40 and when I picked the parts up, handed the debit card over and then heard $64 and change, then swipe! I was like .. What the *&^%! I wanna support my local small buisness, but gesh! I complained and almost bought nothing after that. They now at least take 10% off MSRP which is decent. I could still get stuff a little cheaper, but as long as the cost is fair I will buy when I can. But they generally have to order almost all the parts I need. So theres no real benefit.

I droped a little over $500 at my local shop, they had a black Friday sale cost plus 20%, put A-main to shame.

I just dropped over $300 at my LHS for my 22T and paid retail for it. I am very happy to do so, it keeps the doors open and thats a good thing...

I would have supported my local hobby shop if I had one lol. No hobby shops within a 2 hour drive from my house.

Cool. Although I am guilty of supporting internet rc stores, I try to support the track I run at because without it, the hobby would blatently suck.

I have 3 HobbyTowns within 30 minutes of me, I shop at the one that has the indoor track. They had an "Eve of Christmas Eve" party/sale on Friday, 10% of RC and 20% off everything else. They also had food and all the regulars (which I'm trying to be) were there just having a good time.

That being said, I picked up an SC104x4 kit, a couple bodies, paint masks, and some paint. I know I paid more than I could have found online, but they are a great place with 99% of the parts I need in stock and great people.

My purchases were "post-holiday" (spending holiday bonus/overtime from work), but close enough to holiday to count? LOL

Bought ECX Torment 1/10 SC truck and Waco YMF5 airplane kit, $220-plus tax total, on 1-03-12 at Hobby Action store in Tempe, AZ.

Sure did. Bought an SCTE, Tekin 10.5 Redline, Tekin RS Pro, Tekin Pro4 4600, multiple sets of tires, some wheels, and some misc stuff.

Couldn't bring myself to spend "name brand price" on LoPos though. I ordered from Hobbyking for those.
