Are they still going to feel like plastic instead of rubber?

no. They have changed rubber awhile ago, not sure when maybe Randy knows, but the super softs and clay compounds are real good at all the tracks I have run at in the Northwest.

What about an indoor clay track when there's no moist? What compound should work in those conditions?

I have the best luck with super soft at my home track and it gets almost dusty dry.

I run the talons on my 1/8 scale buggy and they are the bees knees. Hey offer so much forward traction and hardly sacrifice any side bite. I love them. They are replacing calibers on my losi buggy and my slash 4x4(17mm adapters with buggy wheels)

What do you guys think would be the go-to Panther tire for this track?

+ YouTube Video

To compare with AKA, supersoft and soft Enduros work great here, atleast now during wintertime when the clay is cold and a bit damp. Rebars also work when it's not too dusty.

Randy,

The track is called the Smactrack out of St. Louis. I am use to tracks that are loose and every time I go here I seem to fight too much traction issues. The truck seems to get in the corner and just slowly picks up the inside wheels, enough that I have time to correct it. If I go into the corner, I have to slow it down much more than everything else. On the SCT-E I always run AKA black foams, and I just ordered a set of clay compound and the black foam tires.

Here is the track http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...83l2-2.1.1l4l0

Have some Panther tires that I can not identify compound on. Does someone have a tire compound chart that shows crossover to paint dot on tire
