nitro to electric
Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to this hobby and site. i recently purchased a nitro revo 3.3 4x4 love it!!! i am so hooked right now i was thinking of buying an electric truck 4x4. I do believe i've made my mind up on the savage flux. I just need a little help trying to figuring out the hole battery thing. If i was wanting to get the 62mph out of this truck what batteries and charger would i need? i hear hobby king has the best deals on batteries?

Definitely need some LiPos which will need a balance charger. A 3s or 4s battery with a high C rating would be up to that kind of speed...but the fact that it's a monster truck make that speed all the more difficult. If the savage has dual-battery capabilities I would get 2, 2s lipos and wire them in parallel.

Once you go to electric from nitro you will not want to go back trust me

Hmm for 62mph or faster your going to have to use a 6s battery setup, so 2x3s 5000mah and a series connector. Also your going to have to change the spur gear-To a 55 I beleive and the pinion gear to a 20+. Other than that you should be good to go
As for 2 x 2s setup, you wont hit 62 with that setup, it will be fast but not the speed your looking for. I had 4s on my Buggy and while it was fast it wasn't fast enough for me, I wanted extreme speed, throwing in a 6s did it.
