Besides Tebo, I really don't see anyone on Associated who's going to win many big events against that Losi lineup. Frankly, I think they deserve it. I always got the impression of total arrogance from Associated. Ever read their website? They're so condescending to the people who ask questions in their Q & A section that it's annoying.

Losi takes care of their drivers like family. Every year we get a Christmas card hand-signed by everyone at the office, not just something copied and sent out.
I won't get into any political wars, but if he was looking for a good team to hang his jacket with, he found it!

I never thought Billy would live either.
Losi must have put the heat on him, either that or he felt especialy patriotic and had to come to a US based team. I think Team Yok needs someone quick to represent the US market. Masami does a great job in Japan but Yokomo needs some western blood on the team.
I still won't switch though. Billy was good but I am more loyal to the manufactureer than the driver. Team Yokomo is one of the best underdog (in size only) teams around. They can win at any level and yet only have a handfull of drivers. It seems other companies i.e. Xray have to grab big names to get big sales. Losi will always have a loyal following and well they have BK and others that are loyalist so they didn't need Easton but I think it was more for there lack in sadan sales so they brought in a CF specialist. Easton will do well with the JRSX but I wouldn't put it past him to be grabing up some buggy and truch racing also. Lets See what he will bring them.
Good Luck Losi.
GO Team YOK
Thanks,

Off-Road is dead in Japan..Masami hasn't run an off-road race in quite a while. He didn't race the Off-Road Worlds in Florida last year and also skipped the Off-Road race in South Africa as well.
It's gonna be an interesting year..Pops and Todd have put together quite a Dream Team for 2005

Believe you me....from first hand experience, there is NO off-road in Japan. Any off-road kits and parts have to be specially ordered in from the states. The only guy I met that had any idea of what off-road was, had a T3 and talked about it like it was the MF2! way funny!
Masami is all about preperation...and because Yokomo is primarily based in the on-road scene, he has to do his best to represent them as best he can. So when the on and off-road worlds are within one month of eachother, being the prepared guy he is, Masami will opt for the touring scene over off-road. But if he were to commit to next year's off-road worlds, he'd most likely skip the on-road worlds. You ever wonder why he runs so good....preperation!

It's weird that off-road is dead in Japan since most of the best 1/8 buggies come from there.

TL picked a winner, that's for sure.

Billy didn't join Traxxas..they don't have a race team.
Breakin2 - A lot of the Japanese 1/8th scale cars are still sourced from Taiwan..it's all about production costs.
Billy has a couple on-road races before his Off-Road debut with his new Team Losi cars, which should be The Dirt's Nitro Challenge in February. Best of luck!

Aaron, is Losi going to release an 8th scale buggy for 2005??? I heard this a month or so ago. You mentioned the Dirt as the debut race with his new "cars"
Does this mean gas truck, electric buggy and truck or 8th scale????
