Hobby King
I'm looking to buy new batteries and possibly an esc from Hobby Partz, but the Gens ace 50c batteries are never in stock along with the Xerun 120A esc.
I was looking on hobby king and found the Turnigy Nano tech 5300 Mah 50c for 33 bucks. Has anyone tried these and if so how are they? More mah same c rating and cheaper these could be a great deal.
I also saw that they have a generic esc a hobby king 120a sensored esc. Has anyone tried this as well? I have heard good things about the hobby wing but this thing is like 45 bucks.

Batteries from Hobbyking are a +.
I check all the time for the Gen Aces and never are in stock.
I ordered 4 from HK and got them in 3 days. I think i only saved 13 bucks

I have many HK batteries. I think their new Nano-Tech hard cased are their best yet. The other Turnigy batteries in a hard case were brittle and I cracked so many in my Slash 4x4 (but I was a crazy basher). The new ones are solid as hell. Awesome price. I only buy them now.
I have actually heard of people running that HK 120a ESC and say it is decent enough. Sure, you get what you pay for, but it does work for general use. I am a snob and run Tekin RX8 though :P

For just a few bucks more you could get your hands on the 6000mah 65C lipos and they ROCK! I think they are like $40 last time I got them...

Too bad they are on backorder though... But they will be back in stock soon... Hobbyking is good at getting things back in stock quick!

If or when you order from HK and its not in the USA warehouse, about how long does shipping take?
Any issues with customs or anything like that?

Well I just lost my hk 120a. but I started running it on 4s. ran it for quite a while on 2s in my scrt10 and it did fine, it was just big. I got the 100a sensored esc just for size and it works great...but I have lost 2 fans in it.
the 120a is great for $40 if you keep it on 2s. thats what I bought it for, when I got a 1/8 buggy i stuck it in and forgot that people said it had issues with 4s...got about 15 packs through it on 4s though.
I have the hk 150a on the way....hear nothing but good things but it is $20 more and huge too.
and if that goes out I will have to turn into a snob and get a rx8
